It's hard being a soldier in this seemingly endless war. Friends die around you; you don't know if
you'll survive the next skirmish. It's a lot to think on, a lot to deal with. Sometimes it feels like I'm standing on the edge of a precipice, looking down into a deep, dark void filled with nothing but despair.
Sometimes the void winks back.
And I wonder, is it really worth it?
...pfaaaaahahahahah! I bet I really had some of you going, didn't I? Don't get me wrong, war is hell, but hell is where all the cool people hang. Live it large and live it hard, that's my motto.
Anyway. I suppose I should introduce myself. The name is Sideswipe. I'm an Autobot, a defender of the just, a champion of all sentient species, and a fighter of Decepticons. As glorious as that all sounds, I'm just in it for the fun. Seriously. Have you ever seen a seeker crash into a mountain because you bent his wingflap? No? Man, you haven't
lived until you've seen that fireball and heard the shrieking. So worth the dents. Of course, not if you ask my brother. He's all "blah blah blah dents this scuff that whine whine blah." Don't tell him I said this, but I'm the better half of this spark-split. ;)
...speaking of the lesser half, I think I hear him coming. Gotta bolt!
